Gatsby paid a high price for a dream he held for a long time. After his death, Nick (the narrative) found out from Tom that Wilson killed Gatsby. Nick felt the ghosts in the east and that the world was cold, so he decided to go back to his home in the Midwest. This is a simple story, but it leaves very sad taste of life.
